Kress Building
Patton
Ave & Lexington Ave.
Located
in the heart of downtown Asheville, the historic Kress building was
constructed in 1928 and continues to be an architectural landmark,
featuring detailed terra cotta tile arranged in neoclassical designs.
Renovation of the once-neglected building began in the fall of 2000. By
January of 2002, the renovation was complete and 21 residential condos
were ready for occupancy. While there aren’t any units still offered by
the developer, Kress condos periodically come on the market for
resale.
