Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, the historic Kress building was constructed in 1928 and continues to be an architectural landmark, featuring detailed terra cotta tile arranged in neoclassical designs. Renovation of the once-neglected building began in the fall of 2000. By January of 2002, the renovation was complete and 21 residential condos were ready for occupancy. While there aren’t any units still offered by the developer, Kress condos periodically come on the market for resale.
Kress Condos range in size from 600 square foot studios to 1,400 square foot 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units.
The Kress Building features:
- Central downtown location
- Roof top terrace (w/elevator access)
- Exercise room
- Refurbished hardwood floors
- High ceilings
- Some balconies
